Who say’s school can’t be fun? Here in the GVSU Mobile Apps & Services Lab we’ve been waiting a long time to get our hands on one of these high tech toys! The AR.Drone is a remote control quadricopter by Parrot. The really cool thing is that the controller is an app running on your iOS (or Android) device. In addition to controlling its flight, there is a camera on it so you can pick up a live video stream from the copter. The platform is open, so we’re hoping to do some tinkering with it. Got any application ideas?

A really good app would be to use it to track down and fetch faculty to required meetings. 😉
