The Mobile Applications and Services Lab will hold its bi-weekly research group meeting this week Tuesday (January 19) at 4pm-5pm in D2-168 Mackinac Hall. Dr. Engelsma will give a short topic on emerging mobile applications in the retail industry. This will be followed by a sequence of 3-5 minute presentations of various ongoing projects in the lab by a number of undergraduate and graduate students.

GVSU students and faculty with interests in mobile technology are welcome to attend these meetings. Contact for more info.

Jonathan Engelsma
Jonathan Engelsma leads the GVSU Mobile Applications and Services Lab. He is currently an Associate Professor in GVSU’s School of Computing. His research interests are in distributed and pervasive computing with a focus on mobile applications and services. Dr. Engelsma earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Michigan State University in 1993. He has over two decades of industry experience, including 16 years in various research and development positions with Motorola.
